Denise and I spent a very enjoyable afternoon in the company of some of the UK’s best wedding and portrait photographers on Wednesday – my talented friends from MV. Thanks to horrific traffic throughout south east Essex we were a little bit later than most people arriving, which was good in a funny sort of way as we walked in to the gallery to a lovely reception.
After a whirlwind of hugs I settled down to a rather large oversight. When my prints had been framed I’d popped along to our framers to sign the mounts. Having never signed any of my work before it seemed a rather odd thing to do – and I’ll admit to being a wee bit embarrassed and wanting to get it over and done with. In my rush – I didn’t think to sign any of the mounted prints, which was then spotted by a couple of eagle eyes, after the mounts had been carefully covered in cellophane and sealed. Un-sealing and signing became the next order of the day!
As I mentioned in my last post, being critiqued by fellow photographers is always a little nerve-wracking – but everyone was incredibly kind!
And finally the lovely London based wedding and portrait photographer Yvonne Blume had the unenviable task of trying to make me look half decent for a final photograph with my work – just proves how bloomin’ good she is!!
